In our project, there were 9 participants. 6 from Croatia, 1 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 from Serbia and 1 from Türkiye.
We prepared our Safer Internet Day board together with our students. The board featured topics such as cyberbullying, safe internet sites, rules for creating secure passwords, information that should not be shared online, internet addiction, and internet fraud.
As 15 Temmuz Şehitleri Middle School, within the scope of Safer Internet Day activities, our students, teachers, and other friends provided information to their peers on the importance of using strong passwords.
It was highlighted that the majority of internet users tend to use personal information related to themselves as passwords, making these passwords easily guessable. The key characteristic of a strong password was emphasized as being unpredictable. To achieve this, it was explained that replacing the letters of a simple sentence with numbers and symbols makes the password harder to guess.
